In this guide, we show you the step by step instructions for how to refund a reward in the myVEGAS app. This is helpful if you need your loyalty points back or you cannot use your reward anymore.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, myVEGAS has loosened their restrictions on trying to refund a reward in the app. So let us know you how to get things done!
Changes to myVEGAS Refund Policy
MyVEGAS has changed their refund policy in the app to be unlimited. This is to accommodate people during the pandemic that is going on.
With it now easier to refund a reward in myVEGAS, you have no worries about spending your points.
In addition, myVEGAS stopped publishing their free room calendars inside of the app. The previous calendars only went to the end of August 2020. After that, myVEGAS removed the calendars from the app so that you can no longer see which nights are available to book now.
The reason they did this is because the available nights are changing to the pandemic and are only guaranteed at the time of booking. So now, you need to redeem a free hotel room reward in order to see what dates are available.
How to Refund a Reward in myVEGAS
Once you’ve bought a reward, the refund process in the myVEGAS app is pretty easy. Simply follow these steps in the app:
- From the myVEGAS home screen, click on Rewards.
- Click on My Purchases to see a list of purchases you’ve made in the app.
- Click the Redemption Pending tab to see all of your upcoming purchases.
- Select the reward you want to cancel.
- Click the Cancel Reward link.
- Confirm that you would like to cancel your reward
You will be issued a refund of your loyalty points and will be able to spend your points on something else.
Again, there are no room calendars in the app due to the ongoing pandemic. The only way to see what free nights are available is to purchase the reward in the app.
Luckily, you can easily refund your reward and get your points back if you need to.
